History of Victory Christian Assembly of God.
Victory Christian Assembly of God (VCAG) merged with St. Paul’s Assembly of God on July 7, 2002 with the approval of the Assemblies of God Headquarters, the Southern New England District of the Assemblies of God (SNED).
Although each individual church has its own 501 © 3 status, SNED decided that the new church internally should be called St. Paul’s Victory Christian Assembly of God but should operate officially with the VCAG name and non-profit status.
VCAG was founded in May 19, 1996 as a non-profit Pentecostal religious Organization that seeks to provide spiritual directions for its members through bible-based teaching and ministering of the Word of God.
We also strive to positively affect our community through evangelism outreach, visitation and home cell programs. We are a fellowship of believers with diverse backgrounds that God has brought together as one family to celebrate God’s presence through worship, prayer, and praises. We are a cheerful family that rejoices in the power and healing miracles of the living God. We are joined together with the intention of sharing resources, finding spiritual renewal and enjoying the divine protection of God.
From the year 2000 our church has grown into the heights of embracing the Boston population including Jamaicans, Carribeans, Africa-Americans, Caucasians, Spanish, Haitians and people from many Africa countries. We are extremely blessed to have reached this milestone in our ministry. We wouldn’t have reach this milestone without our members in Boston, Foxboro, Springfield Mass, Randolph, Wareham, New Bedford, Watertown, Avon, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Dorchester, Milton, Roxbury, Jamaican Plains, Lowell, Franklin, Stoughton and New Hamshire. Our church is fully engaged in the activities of the City of Boston and the communities around.
Listed below are outlines of some of our activities and our participation to the city of Boston and the surrounding communities:
-
We are working Partners with the office of the Mayor in Boston with the newly formed Organization, The New Bostonians. This organization works with ethnic grounds to help and direct the affairs of new comers in the city of Boston.
-
In the year 2000, we accomplished a lot in affecting people lives through working with different groups in Boston, and statistic alone cannot reflect the impact this has on peoples’ lives.
-
In 2001, the Boston Herald, published an article on the work of Rev. Christo A. Kamara in the refugees community in Boston (Boston Herald, Dec 25, 2001 p 8)
Devine Healings
Four outstanding miraculous healing occurred in our church:Sis. Neneh Betty Kamara-Jalloh was diagnosed with an incurable ailment, kidney disease. The Doctor basically sent her home and gave her few years to live. But after our church prayed for her healing and patiently waited upon the Lord. Today she is alive and well, and faithfully serving as our Intercessory Prayer Director.
Bro. Joe Nyandebo came down with a terminal disease, stomach cancer. The doctor basically told her to go home and wait for death. Again the church prayed and looked up to God for response. Today, Bro Joe is completely well and free of cancer and he is faithfully serving in our church board.
Sometimes in April 2006, our Church Treasurer, Bro Albert Senesie, got severely ill, bleeding profusely in the stomach. He was taken to the hospital and admitted in the ICU where he passed out three times. The church prayed and with the grace of God Bro. Senesie recovered without having to undergo any surgery. Bro. Senesie is still the Treasurer of the church and in fact he is now teaching our Sunday school.
NeKennedy a non-member of our church was badly ill with kidney problems. His picture was brought to our church by one of our church members. He was 140lbs but because of the kidney problems his weight went up to 240lbs. After we prayed over his picture he became completely healed. All these healings are medically proved, but because of confidentiality their medical reports are not enclosed in this report. If you really so dearly wants to see these people, please come to our church: 870 Cummins highway Mattapan, Ma 02126. Tel: 617-296-3037; 781-727-7106
